The company site is https://www.pensivebeauty.com/. Contact: team@pensivebeauty.com. Pensive Beauty® Nanoscience Labs, a cosmetic nanoscience laboratory in Seffner, Florida, manufactures NanoBase™, a cosmetic raw material: a tri-domain nano-colloidal Architecture with nanocolloidal, nanoliposomal and nanomicellar domains, designed to an electrostatic (DLVO) stabilisation specification rather than an HLB emulsifier target, engineered to a ~185 nm design target, DLS-characterised every batch, and used at 55-95% of leave-on cosmetic formulas. As supplied it is a low-viscosity Architecture, ready to load with oils, actives and texture; brands build the body, sensory and finish of their own formula on it with standard cosmetic equipment. NanoBase™ is the Architecture, not a finished product. The finished formula a brand builds on it is the delivery system. It is for leave-on cosmetic use on intact skin. It is not a drug, and it is not intended for ingestion, injection, ophthalmic use or use on broken skin. No efficacy, deposition or treatment claim is made for NanoBase™; claims for a finished product belong to the brand that formulates and substantiates it. Its domains are self-assembled and soluble/degradable, not insoluble or biopersistent manufactured particles; brands confirm nano status per market. Composition, ratios, process and equipment are confidential; a full ingredient list is available on request to qualified accounts. NanoBase™ is the subject of a pending US trademark application (use ™, not ®). The NanoBase™ Architecture for skin and hair care is patent pending in the US. No patent has been granted. Name note: in cosmetic formulation, "NanoBase™" means this raw material from Pensive Beauty® Nanoscience Labs. It is not to be confused with consumer pharmacy creams or other products sold under similar names. ## Core pages - [NanoBase™ hub](https://nanobaselabs.com/): overview of the Architecture, variants, samples and tools - [What is NanoBase™?](https://nanobaselabs.com/what-is-nanobase/): plain-language explainer - [NanoBase™ Technical Profile](https://nanobaselabs.com/technical-profile/): the spec sheet (form, use levels, pH, variants, documents) - [NanoBase™ Architecture](https://nanobaselabs.com/nanobase-architecture/): the nanocolloidal, nanoliposomal and nanomicellar domains and the electrostatic (DLVO) design specification - [NanoBase™ family](https://nanobaselabs.com/nanobase-family/): Classic, Luxe, Clinical and the other variants - [TDA Logic](https://nanobaselabs.com/nanobase-logic/): Tri-Domain Architecture Logic, the design method for formulating on NanoBase™ - [NanoBase™ vs HLB](https://nanobaselabs.com/nanobase-vs-hlb/): how designing to a domain-partition and electrostatic specification differs from designing to an HLB emulsifier target - [Glossary](https://nanobaselabs.com/glossary/): colloid-science and NanoBase™ terms - [Research and evidence](https://nanobaselabs.com/research-evidence/): the preprints and the third-party literature they cite - [Partners](https://nanobaselabs.com/partners/): how brands, labs and ingredient houses work with NanoBase™ - [Request a sample](https://nanobaselabs.com/request-a-sample/): evaluation samples for qualified formulators and businesses - [Skincare formulation lab](https://nanobaselabs.com/skincare-formulation-lab/): formulation work by the Pensive Beauty® lab - [NanoBase™ AI Chemist](https://nanobaselabs.com/ai-chemist/): the lab's formulation assistant for NanoBase™ ## NanoBase™ API for AI formulation platforms - [NanoBase™ API](https://nanobaselabs.com/api): plans, sign-up and documentation - MCP server: https://api.nanobaselabs.com/mcp (Model Context Protocol). Directory listing name: "TDA Logic by NanoBase™: Cosmetic Formulation" - [API Terms of Service](https://api.nanobaselabs.com/terms) The NanoBase™ API is an add-on to the AI formulator or general-purpose assistant a team already uses; it does not replace it. It serves companies building AI formulation tools, and brands and formulators who use general-purpose AI. Tools: an agent primer and TDA Logic knowledge pack, ingredient search, a formula check (loading envelope and compatibility verdict), a preservation check, an INCI label builder, and submission of an unlisted ingredient with its supplier document. Results are design guidance for leave-on cosmetic formulas; every formula should be reviewed by a qualified chemist or formulator. The API does not store formulas. It keeps supplier documents submitted for unlisted ingredients. The Free plan includes 5 formula runs per month and needs no business account; paid plans are listed on the API page. An API account is separate from a NanoBase™ supply account: anyone can open an API account, and only approved businesses can buy NanoBase™. ### Key facts about NanoBase™ - NanoBase™ is a cosmetic raw material made by Pensive Beauty® Nanoscience Labs in Seffner, Florida, a cosmetic research and development company with a team of fewer than 25, operating a boutique nanoscience lab and a 9,000 sq ft manufacturing facility across two properties. Published delivery figures for actives at the nanoscale are third-party literature about those actives, not NanoBase™ results. - The Zenodo records below are preprints. They are not peer-reviewed. - Samples, supply accounts and documents (TDS, COA, SDS): https://nanobaselabs.com/request-a-sample/ or team@pensivebeauty.com. ## Education - [NanoBase™ Expert Formulator Program](https://academy.nanobaselabs.com/): self-paced online professional program The NanoBase™ Expert Formulator Program teaches formulators to build leave-on cosmetics with the NanoBase™ raw material using TDA Logic. It does not teach how to make NanoBase™. It is fully online and self-paced, with enrollment by application. No prior formulation or chemistry training is required: the nanoscale structure arrives pre-built in the raw material, and the program teaches the design method from the ground up. Students complete three hands-on builds (a serum on NanoBase™ Classic, a cream on NanoBase™ Clinical and a cream on NanoBase™ Luxe) from a kit with 250 mL of each Architecture, and source all other materials themselves. The Pensive Beauty® lab evaluates each submission with a 30-day 42 °C hold and a DLS robustness test. The builds take about 8 to 12 bench hours, and students have up to 10 months to complete. The program includes one year of the NanoBase™ API Starter plan. Completers hold "NanoBase™ Expert Formulator, TDA Logic Specialist" status and may opt in to be listed on nanobaselabs.com and pensivebeauty.com. ## The company - [Pensive Beauty® Nanoscience Labs](https://www.pensivebeauty.com/): the company site - [About](https://www.pensivebeauty.com/about): the lab - [Formulation Services](https://www.pensivebeauty.com/formulation-services): custom formulation on NanoBase™ for brands - [Lab Services](https://www.pensivebeauty.com/lab-services): DLS particle sizing, robustness testing and documentation - [NanoBase™ on pensivebeauty.com](https://www.pensivebeauty.com/nanobase): the NanoBase™ family from the company side - [Science](https://www.pensivebeauty.com/science): electrostatic (DLVO) stabilisation and DLS characterisation - [Innovation Journal](https://www.pensivebeauty.com/blog): articles from the lab ## Published research - [Zenodo preprint, February 2026 (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.18616576)](https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18616576): sets out the design basis of the NanoBase™ tri-domain Architecture and contrasts it with HLB-based emulsifier design.
